 Public Works Project
« Thread Started on May 11, 2009, 9:43am »

I'd like to get as much character creation info on the site as possible and make it entirely self-sustaining. However, now that I'm working full-plus-time, I don't have the time to devote to putting together as much as I'd like. So I'm delegating, and offering XP rewards.

What I hope to accomplish is a complete spell list, with the basic info readily available. If you'd like to participate, choose a spell level and a sourcebook (example: 1st-level Cleric spells, Player's Handbook), and put the relevant information in the columns of an Excel spreadsheet.

For mage spells, the following is needed:

Name School Range Duration Area of
Effect
Components Casting
Time
Saving
Throw
Material
Component
(if applicable)

And for priest spells, the following:

Name Sphere School Range Duration Area of
Effect
Components Casting
Time
Saving
Throw
Material
Component
(if applicable)

In the interest of giving everyone an opportunity to participate and cutting down on confusion and duplicate work, please reply to this thread to reserve a particular book and spell level.

The following are the XP awards for the particular book and spell level. These books aren't the be-all, end-all sources for material, just those I feel that are most important to start with; if this list gets closer to completion, I'll add to it.

Ned, thanks for the contributions; you may divide 12,960 XP between your current PCs.

The Wizard's Handbook spells have been added to the list.

I swept up the thread (all the spells/books reserved here were completed and sent to me successfully, big ups to the contributors!), and I've also updated the main post to show who's done what so far.

Look on my works, ye mighty, and despair!"
Nothing beside remains: round the decay
Of that colossal wreck, boundless and bare,
The lone and level sands stretch far away.

Guess I might as well take Arcane and Divine 7 then to round off the list. Expect them tonight.
