“I won’t be a moment, cutters,” Hadrian muttered beneath his breath as he began his preparations for the succession of incantations….
After the second spell had reached its culmination, the aasimar stepped forward and braced himself against the statue. “Gather round then, and heave together. We need to be underway again right quick!”

Taking the idea as Hadrian begins casting, Gl'Fnak braces his hooves against such stone and ice as he can find and prepares to put his shoulder to the task.
Once the statue has shrunk a bit and been lightened, the Cipher pushes with as much force as he can muster. While the four are straining with the fallen icon, the ox-cart suddenly takes on the extra bit of weight which Gl'Fnak's clandestine spell-slinging had been carrying thus far.

Working in concert, the group rights the statue. The heavy stone was made heavier by the substantial ice and sod frozen to it; even back in its place, the icon of the All-Father is nearly unrecognizable due to the crusted-on debris.
Again, the lone raven cries out in the darkness.

Grunting with the effort of it, Hadrian strained against the leaden statue until it at last settled back into its niche. Dismissing the spells with a wave of his hand, he looked back towards the others. "The deed is done, cutters. Let's be under way." Reaching for the oxen's reign, he pressed onward into the bone chilling night.

Seeing the statue covered with frozen muck and ice, Gl'Fnak tilts his head to the side for a moment. Suddenly he raises his hands with a brief dancing of fingers and speaks a few coarse syllables. Within a few seconds the concealing debris has fallen away, some landing on the pedestal and the rest falling to the ground. With a half-smile and a curt nod of his head the Cipher trots to catch up and silently begins scouting ahead of the group once again.

(It doesn't look like we'll be getting Hilathic or Quicksilver back any time in the foreseeable future, so we'll split the party here -- the two absentees will head down whichever path Gl'Fnak and Hadrian don't.
(So, what'll it be: deeper into the hills, or cutting through the forest?)

(Thoughts, Ned? I'm indifferent. For the sake of argument I'll go with the former maybe?)

Still completely indifferent to the frigid air about them, the lightly dressed tiefling glances toward the forest and then toward the pseudo-road leading into the hillier areas. A quick sizing up of the ox-cart decides it, Gl'Fnak immediately starts heading further into the hilly country.
