John lets his blade catch in the tiefling's attempt at a disarm, then with a powerful twist of his forearm nearly wrenches the weapon from his opponent's grasp. Recovering the weapon leaves Mahakashapa exposed -- turning the battle exclusively to one of low blows, John lands a slash across his left thigh and a backhand blow that nearly hamstrings his right leg.

John grits his teeth as his overly ambitious assault is fended off, eyes narrow beneath his helm. realizing he may well not get another chance to win this battle if he continues to exhaust himself in fruitless charges such as that.

The desert-born Prime watches the fight eagerly, his eyes taking in every subtle intricacy of John's skillful movements and the straight-forward, but brutally efficient, attacks of his drug-addled opponent. The elf has a cruel, half-smile on his face as he takes in the ruthless trading of blows between the two powerful contenders. Nuuko's hands rest on two of the hilts at his waist, reflexively clutching and relaxing as he becomes more enthusiastic for his own upcoming combat.

He has debts yet to pay, and he will not be forced to pay them as a servant of the lower planes, or a soul to be bartered. His hands tighten their grip on the blade, and after Mahaka's final attack, he cuts along the nasty bugger's extended arm, once, twice, the strikes full of murderous intent.
