So I never got an answer about reduce affecting fall damage, or for that matter whether the lack of having John on his back will lessen the blow. There is no mechanical way for Hadrian to catch the bag, so I'm just going to let this time out and hit bottom. If casting would have reduced the impact damage, assume Hadrian would have done so - he has ample time. Otherwise I'm just going to invoke Wind Column and roll 12d3 below. The other group still has a lot of temporal catching up to do I think.

(Sorry 'bout that -- changing the size of an object doesn't change how badly damaged it is in a fall. The damage suffered from a fall broken by Wind Column assumes isn't relative to weight carried. (As for catching up, the fight will probably be over in the next round or two, and we can get back into normal posting.)

Hadrian landed unceremoniously on his behind and picked himself up with as much dignity as he could muster. John's bag had hit bottom a few moments before and the aasimar now strode over to loosen its drawstrings. He didn't know whether he ought to reach inside or simply call out to the dubiously lucky Taker. "John?" he inquired, opting for the latter. "You can keep your silver. It would seem you saved yourself."
