I know I've been lax about posting over the last couple weeks. Now that I'm back from Falcon Ridge and my creativity is refreshed, I'd like to pound out a few more posts and get things up and rolling again.
There's only one snag: player disappearance. Of a number of would-be new folks, most made only a brief show, vanishing before completing (or even starting) the character creation process. Several new members have created accounts, then haven't signed in since. A few of our old hands haven't logged on in the last six weeks or more.
I know there are routine posters still around, so I wanted to pose the question: what do you want to do? Should we lay current plot to rest and start up a PC "dream team" of regulars? Should we keep on trucking with what we've got, and look for new members to fill the gaps? Something else?

I'd like to continue with the Excavation plot thread and actually finally finish the Fiendish Errand plot. Doesn't much matter to me who the other people are in either group.

Naturally I'm still interested in playing. I'd hate to see perfectly good characters and storylines go to waste. Whatever the majority decides on, I'm happy to run with that. Although naturally I'm interested to see how Wraith's personal plot arc pans out.

The prodigal son returns (sort of)!
After an amazing and enlightening eight weeks that took me from the shores of the Mediterranean to the heights of the alps and back again, I’m home (for at least two nights; I’m visiting with family all of next week so count on me to disappear again for a few more days). I’m sure I have week’s worth of posting to read before I’m caught up with anything and everything that’s transpired here but I’m game to keep playing.

Actually, many of the PCs in this game have been the scoundrel type... Kreel's more likely to find a friendly rival than someone coming after his head.

@stix. I've heard through the grapevine [or would that be razorvine here? ] that you're hoping to get this game up and running again soon. I sure hope so! ;Dm

That is certainly the plan. I'd just like to touch up the boards and get things a little closer to that blessed self-sufficiency I dreamed of when first putting this site together. Debating when to send out the email announcing the rebirth.
Can anybody with source material help me out by writing short descriptions of the various locations on the freeform boards?

I have plenty of stuff at home, so I can try to write up something once a week, if that's okay with you.

I'll take all the help I can get! : ) Even just two or three lines is plenty for most establishments; I just want to add a caption to each location.

With descriptions, I'm assuming that ideas from In the Cage is fair game? Or shall I also make up stuff as I'm going along? Oh, yeah, regarding the rebirth, I'm very interested in bring Wraith and Quicksilver back. Unless of course you'd like to see me play something a bit different. [Last I remember, Wraith had enough experience to get her to level 4. She just had to train for it first, so I certainly want to see that progression happen eventually. ]

Wow. It's lovely to see a little activity back around here. But I'm confused though; where do I start, because I don't really remember where I left off, or what direction my character was going in [aside from tracking down her father, her son, and training for level 4.]

Well, you could pick up in a thread in which you were already posting, or start a new one. Maybe getting Quicksilver into the Blood Pit? Or having Wraith drop by the Gatehouse to see if there's any progress?

I just looked at the news bulletin at the top of the main page. Do we [the returning players] really receive 10,000 xp for coming back?
If that's the case, let me be the first to say: Holy F*@#! Last I knew Wraith was level 3 in the process of training to level 4. What level would that amount of xp put her at... or is that divided amongst the characters of said returning players?m

Each returning PC gets 10000 XP, you read it right -- which is enough for a 1st-level character with nothing to jump to 5th level. I've got everyone's totals on my desktop; as soon as I get it back I'll make notes on the personal boards. Most everyone will have enough prior XP to be 6th or 7th when the dust settles.
There'll also be a sum of money (how much, I have yet to decide) coming with the XP to cover training expenses.
