I'm thinking of a Cipher who just doesn't quite get it (yet? room for character advancement in a couple directions there). He wants to act in accordance with the greater will of the multiverse, really he does.
But what that will is... well that doesn't come to him as readily as it does to more... transcendent Transcendents. His inspiration more more often takes the form of "what's best for me" than "what's best in general."
This would be a Cipher Namer of NE alignment with a long term goal of finally getting over the hump, shifting to true neutral and really fitting into his faction.
OR, maybe he'll end up giving up on the Ciphers and joining someone else. Maybe his repeated failure leads him to one of the downer factions like Dustmen or Bleakers, or he just can't shake being evil and ends up as a somewhat corrupt but low-ranking Mercykiller or Guvner.
Question is, do I wanna write comedy, tragedy or existentialism? What do you think? global

Hmm... the word "Dustman" stirs something wicked in my soul. We really could use a solidly evil Dustman to counterbalance the two we've got (NG and LG) -- perhaps this character, after he gave up on things?
Your ideas always have great potential, so "do as thou wilt" shall be the whole of the law.

If this character ends up as a Dustman it would be rather into his future, and even longer before he's "solidly" anything. Evil Dustman isn't a style I've done in a while though, and I'm not really limited to just one character, am I? Additional thread may be forthcoming with a Dustman-centric concept. global
Edit: You didn't fix the global thing.global

Stupid Proboards. Try posting again.
You can have several characters, as long as they're at least two steps removed in alignment.

You can have several characters, as long as they're at least two steps removed in alignment. Is a diagonal move one step or two? In other words, does my existing NE character mean I could only make someone good, or would LN and CN also be open?
