I've had some great times running this game; it's led to some excellent scenes and some great character development. To say nothing of the way my personal life has changed -- marriage, two children, several moves and new jobs.
Unfortunately, the demands of my personal life put me in a position such that I'm just not able to keep up with the game any more in a way that I consider satisfactory. A post a month just isn't enough, and if I were to put the game on another hiatus (as it basically is now), I'm not sure I'd be able to get it back up and running again.
If anybody would like to continue with their PCs, I know an excellent DM who's looking for a few more players for his own Planescape game. It's been running for about as long as DotD, it's 2nd edition, and he'll probably allow you to port your characters over directly.
Thank you all for the time and quality of work you've given this game. I couldn't have asked for a better group of players.

I've only been around for a bit, but it's been quite fun. I would like to get your introduction to the other DM. Best wishes! -- Bard

Same here, chum. And I totally sympathize with your situation, and wish you all the best, that introduction would be swell, of course.

niemz242.proboards.comNiemz has poked around on this site a couple times, and has been running his game in one incarnation or another (Bird in a Cage, Mouth of Madness) since 2005. Ned and I were two of the original players in it, and if time permits me to jump back into things, I might just bump into you all there again.

Aw, blast. Well, it was fun while it lasted, Stix. Thanks for running for as long as you did. Hope to encounter you again sometime. All my best. Good luck with your other obligations.
