The Red Pony
Tavern. Clientéle: The loudest, most boisterous working men of the Lower Ward, as up for a good laugh as they are for a good brawl. Mostly human. Atmosphere: Brawls are frequent and usually brief. Heavy wooden stools, chairs and tables are bolted to the floor to prevent fights from becoming lethal. A low wooden bar crosses the corner furthest from the door. The walls are bare except for bronze lanterns anchored into the stone; indeed, the only decorations at all are the crude carvings on the stout wooden support beams. A cleared space in the middle of the room is open for performers, should they grace the place with their presence. Proprietor: Jorgen Leomas, the owner of several Lower Ward taprooms, never seen on-site. The bar is staffed by hired men and regulars who work to pay their tabs. Bill of Fare: Average quality, inexpensive. Brown Ale: 1 CP Red Ale: 2 CP Stout: 2 CP Bootlegger's Lager: 3 CP Wheatbock: 3 CP Roast Beef and Potatoes: 7 CP Bread: 4 CP (5 CP with butter) Steamed Vegetables and Beans: 6 CP
