A Planewalker who dies heroically in the realm of Asgard is reborn in Valhalla the following day. The person's death must be a heroic one -- he can't just be cut down in battle; he's got to hew his way through hordes of foes, defending his comrades and shouting battle cries with his last breath, or take on the biggest, meanest, most powerful being on the battlefield and deliver a death blow while his life's blood pours out on the plain.
Even if a second (or third, or fourth) life is earned, it isn't free. Like a raise dead spell, a resurrection survival roll must be made, and it costs a point of Constitution.
Petitioners in Asgard are always reborn the following day, having proven their worth in life and being needed by the Norse gods for the eventuality of Ragnarok.
