Regarding Medicine:
Things not well known or ducumented for further investigation and study.
*Nerves and nerve endings [thus pressure points, pain/pleasure signals, etc.]
*The circulatory system remains something of a mystery.
The valves of the arteries and veins aren't understood very well just yet; it's largely thought of as just a series of hoses.
*Likewise, even though the trachea and lungs are understood vaguely [for breathing] the alveoli aren't yet understood.
Things Wraith is familiar with:
*She knows a good deal about tendons and connective tissues, the digestive tract, and the general musculoskeletal system, and the four humors:
Phlegmatic, choleric, sanguine, and melancholic. In other words, Blood and three varieties of bile.
Sanguine=Element Air=Spring=Blood. Associated with Hot and Moist.
Melancholic=Earth=Autumn=Black Bile. Associated with Cold and Dry.
Choleric=Fire=Summer=Yellow Bile. Associated with Hot and Dry.
Phlegmatic=Water=Winter=Phlegm. Associated with Cold and Moist.
*All varieties of disease and fevers are caused by an imbalance of the humors. For instance, Fever is believed to be caused by an overabundance of the sanguine humor [or too much blood]. Recommended treatment would be leeches. Lots of leeches.
*She's familiar with internal organs, to an extent.
She knows about the lungs, heart, intestines, stomach, esophagus, bowel and trachea. Though the liver and spleen are thought only to be organs that store bile. The same would probably apply to the kidneys.
*There are probably a few rare texts out there that contain results for increased understanding of the living body, possibly documenting the Mages - particularly necromancers - who have probably used magic to understand such processes as cellular mitosis and synapses, among others. But it'd be obscure knowledge, and not everybody is likely to believe it.
However, if one were to look in a library owned by a Power....
*Not much is known about the effects of sedation and sedative narcotics on a patient. Sedating someone to the point that they don't feel pain is just as dangerous as the surgical proceeding itself. Though a common method of sedation for a field surgeon was a bottle of a good, strong whiskey... especially for emergency amputations.
Questions to Ask:
*Is Wraith familiar with the Reproductive System/Genitalia/Gestation Period/Birth process.
*Is Wraith familiar with the function of the Bladder and Kidneys.
