As you can see, between days 254 and 278, Hadrian suffers five episodes of madness within the space of a month, which generally means it's time to check into the Mad Bleaker Wing as a patient. Doing so will cost him some time and put his health at risk; not doing so means that the next failed madness check results in a permanent derangement of some sort.
What would you like to do?

Unfortunately for Hadrian (and for me, since I won't be able to contribute as much for the relavent period,) it looks like he's going to have to be locked up for a bit. I was just reading through the relavent section of factol's manifesto, and I can't really figure out how this is arbitrated. I stand a 10% chance of flat out dying (according to second edition rules anyway. Third edition has both consitution and fortitude governing health and I don't know if there is a way of factoring my fort save into that somehow like -1% for every 2 points of fort or something?), but theres no mechanic to suggest how long a bleaker must languish before making peace with himself or facing inconsolable despair.

I'm working on an indirect conversion. I'm thinking a series of daily Fort and Will saves to avoid ability score damage due to isolation, starvation, et cetera. I'm thinking treatment ends when a Will save results in a natural 20.
When I've reached a final decision, do you want to be the one to make the rolls?

Sounds like an interesting idea you've got going over there, I suppose it doesn't ultimately make a difference who rolls the dice at the end of it, but I might as well do the honors. Let me know when you've worked out a system thats agreeable to you and I'll start playing with fate.
