It's about what one would expect of a Lower Ward taproom kitchen. Sticky floors, dirty dishes.
Oh, plus the cook and the barman collapsed on the floor leaking blood from every orifice.

Hadrian discovers some small white pellets scattered in the corner under the tap. Also, it looks like the cook fell across the cellar door.
