Level 1: Bardic Music. Once per day per bard level, the Bard can use song or poetics to produce supernatural effects on listeners. Abilities that rely on Bardic Music will be marked with the symbol: (M).
Level 1: Bardic Knowledge. The Bard may make a bardic knowledge check to see whether he knows any relevant information about a notable or legendary person, place, or object. The bard's class level and Intelligence modifier are added to the die roll, and a +2 bonus is added if the bard has Knowledge (History) at five or more ranks.
Level 1: Countersong (M). Prerequisite: Perform, 3 ranks. The Bard may counteract the effects of a sound- or language-based attack with a successful Perform check.
Level 1: Fascinate (M). Prerequisite: Perform, 3 ranks. On a successful Perform check, the target sits quietly and listens to the Bard's performance. For every three levels the Bard advances, he may fascinate another target.
Level 1: Inspire Courage +1 (M). Prerequisite: Perform, 3 ranks. The Bard's performance bestows a +1 bonus to the Will saves, attack rolls, and damage rolls of his allies.
Level 1: Spells. The Bard has a collection of magical recitations and songs. The Bard's player chooses eights schools from the Bard Spell School list.
Level 3: Inspire Competence (M). Prerequisite: Perform, 6 ranks. The Bard's performance grants a +2 bonus on all checks related to a particular skill as long as the performance continues.
Level 6: Suggestion (M). Prerequisite: Perform, 9 ranks. The Bard may implant a suggestion (as the spell) in a creature he has already fascinated.
Level 8: Inspire Courage +2 (M).
Level 9: Inspire Greatness (M). Prerequisite: Perform, 12 ranks. The Bard may inspire others to surpass their own potential, gaining two hit dice (d10s), a +2 competence bonus to attack rolls, and a +1 competence bonus on Fortitude saves. For every three levels the Bard advances, he may inspire greatness in another character.
Level 12: Song of Freedom (M). Prerequisite: Perform, 15 ranks. The Bard's performance mimics a Break Enchantment spell.
Level 14: Inspire Courage +3 (M).
Level 15: Inspire Heroics (M). Prerequisite: Perform 18. The Bard's performance bestows a +4 morale bonus to saves and a +4 dodge bonus to AC. For every three levels the Bard advances, he may inspire heroics in another character.
Level 18: Mass Suggestion (M). Prerequisite: Perform 21. As suggestion, but the Bard may use the ability on as many targets as he has fascinated.
Level 20: Inspire Courage +4 (M).
