Uathach awakens from her fitful sleep, her dreams already forgotten. Her night was not a restful one, and even now she has to make a concentrated effort to rouse herself to a drowsy half-consciousness. Perhaps today is a day best taken slowly.
Remembering where she is -- and, more importantly, why -- she directs her attention to the opposite bed, finding it empty. Most (if not all) of the hapless sod's personal effects lie strewn about the floor, as though they were hastily sifted through.

Wraith blinks and rubs her eyes, issuing a low, weary groan - yet another of those frustrating, sleepless nights - and rolls out of bed, setting her stockinged feet upon the threadbare rug. The coals in the hearth had burned down completely at some point during the night, and any traces of heat had long since fled from the spartan chamber.
The dank chill of the room, and her patient's unexpected absence, is enough to shock her to some semblance of consciousness. Half delirious from want of rest, she stumbles over to the vacant cot, and sinks down on the rumpled blankets. She doesn't even stop to think where Hadrian might be, doesn't even glance that way to see if his slouched form still occupies the careworn rocking chair, and begins to listlessly sift through the departed sod's belongings.
Uathach doesn't know what she expects to find, if anything at all, although the slow, thorough search seems to be helping her regain some faded aspect of wakefulness.

Wraith discovers the following items scattered around the room:
- A black belt pouch full of money, mostly gold (between 300 and 500 coins altogether)
- A crude silver idol of bloated humanoid figure, about 10" tall -- feral and grinning face, pointed ears, swirling hematite eyes, holding a wailing head
- A small silver morningstar, about 6" long -- most likely a holy symbol matching the idol
- A simple wooden box full of cosmetics
- An olive-colored backpack
- Numerous articles of baggy and loose-fitting clothing, perfect for disguise or camouflage purposes (black, brown and gray)
