(I’m abandoning the other thread unless one of the other PCs elects to use it)
After an evening spent transcribing long tracts of arcane symbols by candle light, another day had dawned on the City of Doors and Hadrian had gone about his duties contentedly if dark eyed. Admittedly, he had been electing for lighter fare of late, but as all of it was volunteer work anyway there would be no one to hold him to task for his truancy.
The Black Scribe had set up shop a little earlier today, in hopes of attracting a few more interested buyers.

(The Gatehouse is roughly in the middle of the Hive Ward, on the opposite side of the city from the Bazaar... would Hadrian have gone through the Lower Ward and The Lady's Ward, or the Clerk's Ward and Guildhall Ward?)

(As a Bleaker I'd have to say whichever way the mood struck him. Untyped roll to follow, odds Lower Ward/Ladies Ward, evens Clerk’s Ward/Guildhall.)
[dice=20]
Edit: Clerk's Ward it is.[rand=154224418522847911962285940195055261393562717330836467072996527583]

Shortly after Hadrian has set up shop, yesterday's genasi approaches him with determination in his stride.
"Y'got what I want?" he asks curtly, hefting a purse and beginning to count coins, wasting no time.

“ Of course, cutter,” Hadrian replies, slipping a leather-bound scroll case out from a billowing sleeve. Thumbing through the contents, he extracts a sheet of vellum tied with a blood red knot and offers it up for the genasi to inspect. “As per your request. Can I help you with anything else today?”

The genasi takes shelter from the rain under the eaves of a nearby building. He unfurls the scroll, plucks a small crystal prism from his belt pouch, and casts a quick spell over both. Using the prism as a reading lens for a few moments, he gives a satisfactory nod and offers Hadrian a sum of twenty platinum coins.
"This suits me fine, basher. My thanks for the prompt service," he says as he puts away his belongings. "D'you know a reliable potion brewer in the Bazaar?"

Hadrian graciously accepted the coins, depositing the sum into his purse. ‘Odd… hadn’t it been more full than this before?’
The genasi’s question drew his attention back to the topic at hand. “A potion brewer, eh cutter? Well, you could try Ensin’s, though I’ll warn you now, I wouldn’t exactly call his wares reliable. You most certainly get what you pay for in that kip. Alternatively, you might try Wooly Cupgrass if you’re looking for something less common. Odds are, he’s at least tasted it and would know where to find another batch if he doesn’t have it in stock to begin with.”

"My thanks again," says the genasi before he turns on his heel to head back into the Bazaar.
