Alright it looks like I have more work to do than I thought. I'm going to try to make these changes, including those necessary to keep the kit. Might be a couple days before I iron it out. How far along is everyone else with their Dark Sun PCs? I don't want to slow down the group but I haven't had the time to really work on him yet.7.0

Haven't seen anything from anybody for a Dark Sun PC just yet; take your time. I'm starting a new job this week, so replies may be a bit erratic until my regular schedule begins next Monday.

What is the cost of buying maneuvers in terms of character points seeing as they can normally be approached as either WPs or NWPs?
And with regard to NWPs, remind me, are we using the Player's Handbook progression which would afford me 6 slots + bonus languages by this level? Or the Skills and Powers progression which has me with 8 cps + bonus cps for intelligence initially?
Last question, I was just revisiting the Kits page and I was curious to learn about Shinobi priest. How are the benefits tabulated? Does the character gain those rogue skills at equivallent level?

And with regard to NWPs, remind me, are we using the Player's Handbook progression which would afford me 6 slots + bonus languages by this level? Or the Skills and Powers progression which has me with 8 cps + bonus cps for intelligence initially? 6 NWP slots. Int slots can be spent on WPs or NWPs. Last question, I was just revisiting the Kits page and I was curious to learn about Shinobi priest. How are the benefits tabulated? Does the character gain those rogue skills at equivallent level? Shinobi must be members of a Ninja clan.

Ok can you let me know if the following changes make sense?
Refunded NWPs: Diplomancy and all invested cps - 1 NWP + 5 cps Language: Asuras - 1 NWP Planology and all invested cps - 1 NWP + 2cps (I read the description, I was expecting something like Sage Knowledge (The Planes) which it was not City Familiarity (Sigil) and all invested cps - 1 NWP + 1cp And the following CP expenditures: 3 from healing, 1 from scribe, 3 from religion.
Total: 4 NWPs + 15 cps
Refunded WPs: One-handed style - 1 WP Improved One-handed style - 1 WP Longsword (purchased at 2cps) - 2 cps
Total: 2 WPs + 2 cps
Purchased Proficiencies (NWP + WP): Basic Martial Arts - 1 WP The Way of Accomplishment - 1 WP The Way of Accomplishment (Spears) - 1 NWP Martial Art Special Maneuver (Mental 4) - 1 NWP Portal Feel - 2 NWPs
Total : 2 WPs + 4 NWPs
Character Point Expenditure Martial Art Special Maneuver (Mental 6) - 3 cps Longsword (purchased at 3 cps) - 3 cps Aasimar racial ability (Celestial Aura) - 10cps Removal of erroneous 1 cp - 1 cp
This of course begs the question of whether it is permissible to purchase racial abilities after character creation or if that is limited to level 1?7.0

I'm a bit on brain-drain with the new job training; I have to confess that the prior post is tough to follow. I think I've pieced together what Hadrian's total proficiencies and CPs would look like if he were rebuilt from level 1. Weapon Proficiencies: Spear (1 WP) Longsword (1 WP) Basic Martial Arts (1 Int slot) The Way of Accomplishment (1 Int slot) The Way of Accomplishment: Spears (1 Int slot) The Way of Accomplishment: Chi Attacks (1 Int slot) The Way of Accomplishment: Ironskin (level 4 slot) Nonweapon Proficiencies: Portal Feel (2 NWP) [check: 15/13] Healing (2 Int slots) [check: 17] Religion (1 Int slot) [check: 17] Sage Knowledge: Medicine (5 CPs @ level 5) [check: 16] Spellcraft (level 6 slot) [check: 16] Languages: Common -- Literate (1 NWP) Asgardian -- Literate (1 NWP, level 3 slot) 5 CPs (Aasimar dual-class Priest-Mage) +7: Int bonus -- 12 CPs +5: Iron Weakness -- 17 CPs +15: Armor Restriction (no armor) -- 32 CPs -5: Improved Hit Die (d12) -- 27 CPs -20: Combat Bonus (Warrior THAC0) -- 7 CPs +5: Priest 2 -- 12 CPs +1: Mage 2 -- 13 CPs +5: Priest 3 -- 18 CPs +1: Mage 3 -- 19 CPs +5: Priest 4 -- 24 CPs -20: Power of Life -- 4 CPs +1: Mage 4 -- 5 CPs +5: Priest 5 -- 10 CPs -5: Sage Knowledge: Medicine -- 5 CPs +1: Mage 5 -- 6 CPs +5: Priest 6 -- 11 CPs +1: Mage 6 -- 12 CPs -10: Celestial Aura (enemies attack at -2) -- 2 CPs This of course begs the question of whether it is permissible to purchase racial abilities after character creation or if that is limited to level 1?7.0 Some abilities specify "at character creation only", but the rest, whether from race or class, can be bought at any level.

That looks generally correct although I'm going to go over it in detail this weekend when I have the opportunity. Quick question before hand though: Does Celestial Aura stack with Displace Self? Does Tough Flesh (aasimar racial ability) stack with Barkskin?7.0

Alright, I finally had time to go over it properly. I agree with your summation. I'll make the relavant changes. Quick question as I go along: Can I add more weapons groups to martial arts if I buy the slots or am I limited to spears?

Up to 2 slots per level can be devoted to maneuvers or weapon categories, and the Way of Accomplishment allows any tight group of weapons that's been paid for in the context of the art.
