2e XP: 38400
I'm guessing you'd want to keep both Xianna's combat and spellcasting abilities. Ranger/Mage isn't a multiclass combo available to tieflings, though she could be a 5/4 Fighter/Mage if you want to go with that.
If you'd specifically like to keep the Ranger aspect, you could take several Ranger levels and then dual-class into a spellcaster option (even a Specialist, Elementalist, or Thaumaturge, if you want to try out something new). With 4 or 5 Ranger levels, she could also be a 5th-level caster. You could also go higher with Ranger, but it'd cost some spellcasting ability (Ranger 6, Wizard 1).

Let's go with the 5/4 fighter mage. I totally suck at ranger stuff. Something tells me animal empathy ain't worth spit in the outer planes. Hell, I totally suck at all this conversion stuff! I am SOOOOO glad you are converting to 2E! So, what shall we do with her character sheet? As a dual class, I have to split any gained xp between the 2 right? (you can see how often I dual class eh?)

There are two ways to go about this:
1) Dual-classing. Xianna starts as a level 1 Fighter, advances 1 or more levels, and then switches over to Mage. This requires a minimum Str 15, Int 17 (Str 17, Int 17 if you want to be able to switch back to Fighter). She could be Fighter 6, Mage 3 or Fighter 5, Mage 5.
Dual-classing is an unusual and somewhat complex system, originally written with a bunch of stupid restrictions on it that made it totally useless. Here's my simplification of it, edited from the PHB:
2) Multi-classing. Xianna starts as a level 1 Fighter/Mage. She earns half as much XP, but it's applied to both classes at once. With her current XP, she'd be a 5/4 Fighter/Mage.

So dual classing, I am either/ or and can switch back and forth, but multi classing I can be both at once? Please forgive my ignorance. Ya know, i've only been playing DnD for a year!
Cool, let's roll with it! By the way, I may have recruited another member! He's on a lot of the other sites I play on and is a rampant poster, like me! He's 2Ed all the way. I told him you were doing the conversion. He is a great role player, I hope he joins!

No worries, questions are a good thing!
With dual-classing, you can switch back and forth as you gain levels (it's a great option for characters who want to prioritize one class over the other/s). You can still use the abilities of the class you're not leveling in, but you only gain levels in one at a time. With multi-classing, you advance in both at once.

Yeah, let's do multiclass,... I don't care about leveling slower. I'd like to be able to swing a weapon with at least some skill when I run out of spells. (damn I hate running out of spells!) ;D

(damn I hate running out of spells!) ;D Sounds good to me. Start a new thread called "Xianna 2e" or something, and I'll fill it in with some details for her sheet. Cool, let's roll with it! By the way, I may have recruited another member! He's on a lot of the other sites I play on and is a rampant poster, like me! He's 2Ed all the way. I told him you were doing the conversion. He is a great role player, I hope he joins! See if he'd be interested in playing a character from the Transcendent Order. The Gymnasium is their faction HQ, and they have a vested interest in the stuff you three are investigating, so he'd be able to jump in seamlessly if he can get a character together soon.
