Sorry my posts have been so erratic lately. Between taking on more hours at work, family outings and Easter photo sittings, watching the kids and prepping for my convention game weekend after next, I've got a lot on my plate at the moment. I'm going to do what I can to get everyone at least one update as soon as humanly possible.

That's fine! We're all going to be busy harassing each other soon enough so you'll be hardly needed.

No worries, Stix. That's understandable. Have a good Easter. And Happy Easter to everyone else.

I will be in St. Louis visiting family from Monday, 5/26 'til Wednesday, 6/4. Don't know how often in there I'll be able to post, but it's looking like a busy trip.

Leaving tonight to head back to New York. It's a long drive, but hopefully the recovery process will be fast and I'll be able to keep this pace going nicely.

Been sick as a dog (at least one; feels more like three). It's also looking for sure like we're moving to Missouri, so my time has further been occupied by looking for jobs 850+ miles away. Just wanted to let everybody know I haven't forgotten about them. Talk amongst yourselves. I'll give you a topic: the Transcendent Order is neither Transcendent nor an Order. Discuss.

Aye, we'll still be here. I understand how much of a pain moving can be. Good luck with your job hunting and possible house shift. Get well again soon.

St. Louis is where I'm originally from, and my family relocated back there some years ago.
My wife and I have been making Rochester work by working opposite schedules so we don't have to pay for child care, but it's taken its toll on us (rarely seeing each other, not getting enough sleep, and all that). My folks are retired, however, and would provide free child care if we were in their general area.
There are several other reasons, but sparing that expense and allowing us both to work more normal schedules is the real clincher.

I thought about adding a 'slow PC crossing' thread but it seemed superfluous. I want to apologize to anyone in threads that are being delayed on my account, I've had a really busy few days. I will try to get things moving again this week.

Packing up the house through the end of this weekend; minimal time to post between now and then. But I'm really excited about the deva plot, so expect that I'll get back on it with a vengeance at the earliest opportunity.

Here's the recent skinny:
Moving from one friend's place to another in the next day or two. Said new place lacks not only an internet connection, but a computer of any kind (tré 1980s). From there, making the move to St. Louis in two weeks, where I will continue to lack home internet access until employed.
Any posts I make between now and then will be from libraries or otherwise borrowed machines, and the regularity of such things is unpredictable. Wish me luck, I'll have everything back to semi-routine posts as soon as I can manage.

Whew. It's been a ride.
I am officially gainfully employed, and we're on the apartment hunt. With any luck, soon thereafter I will again have access to the internet and most of my books (some of my PS collection was left behind in Rochester, but I have .pdf backups for most everything and should reclaim what's left when we next go out to visit, whenever that may be).
The home front has been hectic, but I'm going to do what I can to be up and posting once again on a regular basis as soon as possible. Thanks for your patience, folks.
