Tllith and the ninth mezzoloth square off with the hostile zombie, managing to neutralize it with a series of defensive and distracting maneuvers. Though their strikes tear at its armored flesh, none of them bite deep enough to cripple the corpse-servant. The eighth mezzoloth hurries toward their fight to lay low its former brother-in-arms.
With a hiss from the only mezzoloth left keeping its distance, a pillar of black flame jets from the Elysian sky to sear Nuuko as he approaches the fight. Abaia menaces the two fiends approaching her, fighting defensively and angling to move them away from her would-be defenders. Nuuko and the "friendly" zombie reach one of the 'loths, but fail to injure it -- it keeps all attention fixed on its target.

Abaia menaces the two fiends approaching her, fighting defensively and angling to move them away from her would-be defenders. (Ghaeldan is welcome to be as near or as far from this fight as he so pleases. Nuuko can get the +2 rear attack bonus against #5.) Tllith squeaks! "Oh, no! Two of them on just one poor bebilith! That is not fair! That is not right! Or maybe it is! I don't know! What do you think, Ninth Mezzoloth? I know! You keep fighting the zombie! I'll go save the bebilith!" Which is not really a good interpretation of how effective she's being on the battlefield, and makes hash of Abaia's plans and good intentions as well. She scoots around and tries to pounce the other fiend fighting Abaia, from behind if possible. OK, actual damage is 1.7 * 2 = 3.4. The PHB seemed to suggest you round up, so, I guess, 4 points. Better than usual!

Feeling like nine kinds of hell -- and that's no picnic, for a tanar'ri -- Ghaeldan Matthias crests yet another cursed rise in the vile trackless fields, stops to catch his breath... and grins despite himself.
Because at the foot of the disgusting viridian mound he has been on a death march towards for the last few days, a group of mortals and yugoloths have seen fit to roll out the sanguine carpet.
"At last!" he cries. "Some peace on this plane! Some sport, to settle my stomach!" He draws the massive red warsword from his back and howls, much to the obvious distress of the pilgrims surrounding him. "Come, cleaver! Bring forth their blood, and violate this virgin soil!" With a ear-splitting war scream, Ghaeldan charges.
He covers about half the distance before stumbling and pitching himself square onto his face in the sod.
With a groan, Ghaeldan thrusts his warsword into the earth and hauls himself to his knees. "I HATE THIS PLACE!" he shouts, and with little ceremony, he vomits. "Kostchtchie's crotch," he swears under his breath, when he can. "Even the dirt here tastes clean."
He looks up, and surveys the battle with some difficulty, his eyes refusing to focus. "Mayhap this melee is best left to bashers less hampered by the hostile clime," he mutters, and slowly slumps to the ground, leaning against the broad blade of his warsword.

Tllith waves a useless wing to Ghaeldan. "Hallo, other person with a scaly tail! We're having a fight all over! Come join us! We saved a mezzoloth for you -- right over there!" She points her own scaly tail at the one who's standing back and casting spells.
How else does a polite young lizard welcome a fiend to Elysium, anyhow?

The badly burned Athasian lets out a slight exhale of relief as the mezzoloth proceeds past him, continuing after its previous target. Nuuko extends his free left hand, attempting to touch or grab onto the creature from behind.

(Sure, if you want to attack another friendly -- it worked out well last time ) Nuuko and the "friendly" zombie reach one of the 'loths, but fail to injure it -- it keeps all attention fixed on its target. ((OOC: I meant the "it" which Nuuko and the "friendly" zombie failed to injure...the one I'm getting the +2 back attack bonus against. He would have been moving out of the inky blackness, we approach him he ignores us and continues after Abaia...thus giving us attacks of opportunity. Correct?))

Nuuko lays a hand on one of the mezzoloths single-mindedly assaulting Abaia, tearing out some of its life energies and commandeering them for his own use. A moment later, Tllith rakes a claw through its side and is sprayed with the fiend's hot ichor. The nearby zombie manages to break through the fiend's carapace with both claws, but the attacker still manages to rend through a weak spot in Abaia's armor.
Seeing no means of profiting from either side of the conflict any more, the fourth mezzoloth vanishes into nothing. The two "friendly" mezzoloths continue to lay into their undead comrade simultaneously, one of them suffering a slash across the face for its trouble. Abaia keeps the seventh mezzoloth at bay, slicing into its unprotected flesh.
Round 13
Abaia: 8 Mezzoloth #1: dead Mezzoloth #2: 0 (undead) Mezzoloth #3: 37 (undead) Mezzoloth #5: 23 Mezzoloth #6: 51 (disabled, unconscious, or dead) Mezzoloth #7: 13 Mezzoloth #8: 0 Mezzoloth #9: 6 John: 24 Nuuko: 31 Jocyl: 6 Xianna: 4

Tllith continues her singleabsent-minded assault on one of the mezzodaemons fighting Abaia. I believe at this point she's pretty much behind it, since it's "single-mindedly" assaulting Abaia, so she presumably gets that coveted +2 flanking bonus.
As she fights it, she sings...
Her voice is truly beautiful, even with such puerile words.

Tllith gets two solid hits! She chirps, "This is weird! I was singing about biting a mudzoloth, and then I bit a mudzoloth! In the back of the leg!"

So Tllith's damage is a solid 24+6 = 30 points, (after Enlargement and rounding up as the rules seem to indicate). *chomp*!
