Round 2 Vahn's Init: [dice=20]
Mouth twisting into a grimace as his trick fails, Vahn slowly backs further from the melee, watching both the Nycaloth and the Bebilith, hoping Jocyl's goading works and readying a slightly different ability should it fail.
(OOC: Holding until I know if Abaia's gonna make a move, if not, well, I've another trick up my brain)

(OOC: Uhhh... it didn't add the die roll code... suggest course of action please? Modify, delete and repost, roll again, etc?) ((I'd just make a new post with the die roll. What browser are you using? I haven't had any problems w/ dice codes in Firefox. Opera will display them fine but doesn't like to generate them. Preview your reply before posting it. Also, we're using standard 2nd ed initiatives, 1d10 + action speed))

(OOC: Ha, right, confused this and Niemz's MoM game for a post, heh ^_^; Using Firefox, it's never done this for me before so... I dunno ) Once again, Round 2 Init: [dice=10] (OOC2: Okaaaaay then... previewed and it still hasn't appended the code... uh... any OTHER ideas? Could be my laptop, but I've posted die rolls on this before, so... what would've changed? =/) (OOC3: What the - !? Now it's working, after the second time I hit preview... I am now quite confoggered)[rand=255493168932002838506651345194987469109953798979139232435426198291]

((I think Xianna's declaration is the only one on which we're waiting for round 2 to continue...but I suppose if she's still doing the hide/sneak thing (declared in round 1) for backstab positioning, that would be her action. Wavyhill/Sirocco - Initiative for the head-butt should be 1d10 (not d20) + whatever speed Stix determines for the attack.)) ((I'd check to see if you have any third-party add-ons or extensions that might be causing issues with the codes and try individually removing/disabling them until you find what's causing the problems. I've seen that happen before, when the first post on a page doesn't generate a dice code, it will show a number when/if a code further down the page (i.e., in another post) is generated.))

Gl'Fnak and Xianna weave in opposite directions among the combatants, staying beneath the nycaloth's notice. Abaia reflexively ducks away from the fiend's axe, but, realizing her need to be punished, puts herself back in harm's way.
Tllith fires off a burst of sleep gas, which leaves the 'loth unfazed. Sirocco charges for the fiend, and his headbutt connects with one leg, just as John's morningstar slams into its gut and Hadrian's chiv slashes it across the chest. Angered, the nycaloth splits Abaia's carapace with a massive upswing from its axe before turning on the noisome humanoids with a snarl....
(Since Vahn held his action for the round, he'll win initiative in round 3.)

John smiles, his flayed skin making him look rather skeletal beneath the helm's jutting beak, and continues to belabor the tremendous fiend, roaring wordlessly as he continues his death or glory assault on it.

Xianna <--- still sneaking ((Actually if you spent the first two rounds successfully hiding and moving silently, you would be in position to try a backstab on the current round, round 3.))

((wow, time flies in the Upper Planes )) Now that the Nycaloth was thoroughly distracted, Xianna had her chance. This isn't really the fight I was spoiling for, but the only good Nycaloth is a dead one, she thought to herself. She takes a swing with her rapier at the fiend's leg. Frustrated, Jocyl replaces his sword on his belt and moves to stand behind the Bebelith.
"I need another for this...Xianna! Come here, give me your hand!"
He then tugs on the linen wrappings around his forearms and palms, and they fall away. He holds one hand out towards Xianna, palm up, revealing a tattoo of three blood drops. The other hand is held loosely towards Abaia.
